900 kg of explosives…This is how Israel tried to assassinate Muhammad al-Deif

FALCON POWERS – The Israeli occupation army confirmed this Saturday noon that it “tried to assassinate Muhammad al-Deif, Raafat Salama, and elements of Hamas in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis”.

The attack was carried out with four bombs, each weighing 904 kg, and 250 kg of explosives (American MK84 bombs weighing a ton of explosives in the Mawasi massacre in Khan Yunis).

According to the Israeli Channel 12, “the size of the explosives dropped indicates the determination not to give Muhammad al-Deif a chance to survive.” The Israeli military establishment says that despite public concerns about such a scenario – there were no Israeli hostages at the time of the attack in the Mawasi area.

The army statement said that according to our estimate: “Dozens of Hamas activists were within the security circle of al-Deif and Salama.” An Israeli security source told the army radio that we “carried out the attack on Khan Yunis despite knowing the possibility of dozens of deaths.”

Al-Deif survived seven declared Israeli attempts to assassinate him, the last of which was in 2021. Al-Deif rarely speaks and never appears publicly. His last vocal appearance was on October 7th, when the military leader of Hamas announced the Al-Qassam attack and named it “Al-Aqsa Torrent”.

The Israeli airstrikes targeted the tents of the displaced in the Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, which initially resulted in about 71 martyrs and more than 289 wounded.
