Human Rights Center: The Occupying Army Committed Horrific Atrocities in Western Gaza

FALCON POWERS – The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor reported that the Israeli army committed horrific atrocities against civilians during its 4-day incursion into the western neighborhoods of the city of Gaza.

The Monitor stated that the Israeli army forces withdrew early on Friday morning from the “Industry” area and the vicinity of the universities in western Gaza City, after they had infiltrated there at dawn on Monday, July 8th, and carried out dozens of air strikes, in addition to storming homes and terrorizing the residents, with reports of the death of more than 60 Palestinians found in the streets and alleys, some of which were scattered and dismembered, and some were charred.

The Monitor confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces committed atrocities during that period, including premeditated murders, widespread destruction and burning of homes and civilian buildings, as well as forcing families to be displaced to the center and south of the strip.

The Monitor said that the Israeli occupation army carried out field executions of entire families after raiding their homes, and documented cases of torture, and received testimonies about the army’s widespread looting and theft.

The Monitor also confirmed that the Israeli army destroyed the Friends of the Patient Hospital for the second time, after it had been renovated about a month ago. The Israeli army also bombed the Al-Salam Clinic, which is the only health center in the Al-Shati refugee camp, south of Gaza City.

In addition to the destruction and burning of many homes, the Israeli army also caused widespread damage to UNRWA schools in the “Industry” area.
