Moscow Hints at Targeting Europe with Russian Missiles if U.S. Missiles Deployed in Germany

Falcon powers – On Saturday, Russia warned that the deployment of U.S. missiles in Germany could make European capitals targets for Russian missiles, reviving the atmosphere of confrontation from the Cold War era.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov described the situation as a “paradox,” where Europe becomes a target for Russian missiles, and Russia becomes a target for U.S. missiles in Europe. He indicated that the potential victims are the capital cities of European countries.

As Peskov hinted, this type of confrontation can undermine the stability of Europe, likening the situation to the collapse of the Soviet Union after the Cold War.

During the NATO summit, the White House announced that the United States will deploy Tomahawk cruise missiles in Germany starting in 2026 to strengthen European deterrence, reaffirming the United States’ commitment to the security of the NATO alliance.
