Austin Informs Gallant About Ending Floating Dock Operations in Gaza

FALCON POWERS – The temporary dock built by the United States with millions of dollars in investment to transport humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip will soon cease operations. This was conveyed by U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin to his Israeli counterpart Yoav Gallant during a telephone conversation between the two.

According to the Pentagon statement, the two discussed “the ongoing attacks against Israel by Hezbollah, as well as opportunities to increase military cooperation between the two countries.”

Austin affirmed to Gallant “the importance of increasing the flow of humanitarian aid overall.” This includes utilizing land crossings and supporting aid shipments to the Ashdod port for distribution in Gaza.
