Iran: Nasrallah’s Assassination Will Not Go Unanswered; We Are Prepared for a Widespread War in the Region

FALCON POWERS – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi stated on Sunday that the assassination of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah is a significant loss, but it will not cause any disarray within the party; rather, it will enhance its strength.

Araqchi added that “the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Mr. Hassan Nasrallah, will not weaken the resistance but will strengthen Hezbollah and lead to the emergence of new resistance forces.”

He explained that “there is no future for Israel in the region, and its crimes in Gaza and Lebanon will not allow it to enjoy tranquility,” noting that “the region is in a dangerous and concerning situation.”

The Iranian Foreign Minister continued, “Everyone recognizes the seriousness of the potential for a widespread war in the region, and we are on high alert.”

He stated, “We consider America a partner in the crime of assassinating Hassan Nasrallah, and it cannot absolve itself of this truth,” adding that “Nasrallah’s assassination will not go unanswered.”

Araqchi also pointed out that the United Nations Security Council has proven its inability to resolve these crises, urging the United Nations and the international community to take action to stop the crimes committed by Israel.

Israel officially announced yesterday the killing of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and several party leaders in an airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut last Friday.
