FALCON POWERS – The Israeli army announced on Sunday the elimination of three prominent leaders in the Lebanese Hezbollah organization during an airstrike on the intelligence command headquarters in Beirut.
A spokesperson stated that the strike, carried out based on intelligence from the Intelligence Directorate, targeted an underground weapons production workshop in Beirut.
Avichai Adraee, in a statement via the platform “X,” noted that “Israeli Air Force warplanes attacked and eliminated Abbas Salameh, a prominent commander in the Southern Front, in the area east of Tabnin.”
Adraee added, “Also eliminated was Reda Abbas Awada, who was considered an expert in wireless communications within Hezbollah.”
He pointed out that the third leader was “Ahmad Ali Hussein, who served as the head of the production team responsible for arming Hezbollah with strategic weaponry.”
He confirmed that “these strikes and targeted operations are part of the Israeli army’s and security establishment’s extensive activities against Hezbollah’s efforts to arm itself with weapons and combat means aimed at undermining the army’s capabilities.”
