Lebanon and Gaza War

Over a Quarter Million Housing Units Destroyed in Gaza

FALCON POWERS – The Ministry of Public Works and Housing in Gaza revealed on Monday the number of housing units that have been destroyed in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing war and Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023.

In a statement, the ministry reported that more than a quarter million housing units have been completely or partially destroyed and are no longer habitable.

It noted that over 80% of the roads have been completely destroyed and require comprehensive rehabilitation.

The ministry also mentioned that most of the heavy machinery and equipment belonging to the ministry have been targeted and are now out of service.

Since the first day of the war, the Israeli occupying state has pursued a policy of destroying homes and infrastructure in Gaza as part of the collective punishment it exercises without international deterrence.
