Lebanon and Gaza War

US Website: Hezbollah Fighters Have Not Abandoned the Border and Rumors of Their Weakness Are Exaggerated; Hamas Has Not Lost

FALCON POWERS – In light of the propaganda campaigns promoted by the Israeli army in the battles at the southern Lebanon border, the American website “Intercept” examines the realities of the war on the ground and the truths that the Israeli occupation seeks to distort in order to present a false victory to the Israeli public regarding what it claims to be military progress and achievements. It contrasts this with the actual events unfolding.

The site acknowledges that “Israel and the United States have significantly overstepped their bounds, having already begun discussing a post-Hezbollah Lebanon.”

It explains that readers of Western media perceive that “Israeli maneuvers have achieved remarkable success since the beginning of the ground operation in Lebanon.” This perception is attributed to “Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari portraying a press statement from southern Lebanon, along with Israeli forces touring a neighborhood in Blida for a group of international and local reporters, during which a detained Lebanese man, whom the Israelis claimed was a Hezbollah member, told investigators that his comrades fled in fear and left him behind, like cowards,” according to “Al-Mayadeen.”

The article comments that “what this media campaign has obscured is the actual cost of the ground operation thus far.”

The website refutes the Israeli display, noting that “the Israeli army continues its ground operation, while the actual distance rarely exceeds the towns located at the front line of the border.”

It adds, “Contrary to the claims made under duress in front of the cameras, Hezbollah fighters have not abandoned the border, and skirmishes with Israeli forces remain deadly; five Israeli soldiers were killed in the fighting last week.”

It acknowledges that Hezbollah has expanded the scope of its operations, as drones have struck soldiers deep within Israel, including an attack on a military base near Haifa on October 13, which resulted in the deaths of four soldiers and injuries to at least 58 people.

It further states, “Rockets weighing up to three tons are being launched at Tel Aviv.” While many Hezbollah leaders have been killed, the rumors of the organization’s demise are greatly exaggerated at this time.

The site concludes, “Despite the complex reality on the ground, Israeli officials and their American supporters are already thinking about the distant future. Although the complete destruction in Gaza and the deaths of Yahya Sinwar and Ismail Haniyeh have so far failed to displace Hamas, Israel and the United States are already discussing a post-Hezbollah Lebanon.”
