Lebanon and Gaza War

Occupation Forces Detain Hundreds Inside Kamal Adwan Hospital in Gaza

FALCON POWERS – The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that the situation inside Kamal Adwan Hospital is worsening alarmingly after Israeli forces stormed the facility, while the World Health Organization confirmed that the situation in northern Gaza is catastrophic.

The Gaza Health Ministry reported the death of two children in the intensive care unit of Kamal Adwan Hospital after the hospital’s generators stopped and the oxygen station was targeted.

It mentioned that three ambulances and a transport vehicle were destroyed, hindering relief and transport operations, and that the solar power generation system was also destroyed, exacerbating the crisis.

The ministry provided additional data about the situation inside the hospital, stating that occupation forces conducted searches within the hospital and fired shots inside various wards, increasing fear and panic.

It reported that the total number of people inside the hospital is 600, including patients, injured individuals, medical staff, and companions. Currently, there are 195 patients and injured, while the medical staff numbers 70, with three nurses and a sanitation worker injured during the ongoing events.

The ministry emphasized that the situation calls for urgent intervention from humanitarian organizations to ensure everyone’s safety and provide essential needs.

Hundreds Detained in the Hospital

In the same context, the Gaza Civil Defense reported on Friday evening that the Israeli army arrested the director of its center in Jabalia, Said Shbeir, and one firefighter during the storming of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern governorate, which has been experiencing genocide and ethnic cleansing for the 21st consecutive day.

The Civil Defense stated in a statement that during the Israeli army’s incursion into Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, they arrested both Said Shbeir, the director of the Jabalia Civil Defense center, and firefighter Ramadan Al-Aqra.

It clarified that the Israeli army took them to an unknown location, according to the statement.

Earlier on Friday, the Ministry of Health announced the Israeli army’s storming of Kamal Adwan Hospital, where hundreds of patients, injured individuals, and medical staff were detained, while the World Health Organization stated that it had lost contact with this hospital.

On Wednesday evening, the Civil Defense announced that the Israeli army had disrupted its services, targeted its crews, and directly threatened workers if they attempted to use their vehicles for rescue and evacuation operations.

Catastrophic Situation in Northern Gaza

For its part, the World Health Organization confirmed that the situation in northern Gaza is catastrophic, with more than 15,000 people needing treatment outside the enclave.

Israeli incursions and bombings continue in various areas of northern Gaza, coinciding with the army’s ongoing efforts to clear the region of its residents through forced evacuations and displacement.

On October 5, the Israeli army began unprecedented bombardments of the Jabalia camp and surrounding areas in northern Gaza, before invading the region the following day under the pretext of preventing Hamas from regaining strength in the area. Palestinians claim that Israel aims to occupy the area and displace its inhabitants.

With U.S. support, Israel has been waging a genocidal war on Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in over 143,000 Palestinian deaths and injuries, most of whom are children and women, along with more than 10,000 missing persons. The situation has led to massive destruction and famine, claiming the lives of dozens of children and the elderly, marking one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.

Tel Aviv continues this war, ignoring the United Nations Security Council’s call for immediate cessation and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
