Gaza war

An American newspaper: There is concern about America’s involvement in the killing of Palestinians in Gaza.

The Wall Street Journal reported that a secret agreement between the United States and Israel regarding increased intelligence sharing has raised concerns about Washington’s involvement in civilian casualties in Gaza.

According to unnamed US officials cited by the newspaper, shortly after October 7, 2023 (the date of Hamas’ attack on settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip), a secret agreement was reached between the United States and Israel to develop the intelligence network.

The officials, who were not named, also noted an increase in US intelligence activities towards Gaza during the same period.

The newspaper mentioned that US officials cannot confirm for what purpose Israel uses the intelligence information it receives from the United States.

The officials claimed that the main objective of providing intelligence information to Tel Aviv is to rescue Israeli prisoners held by Hamas and prevent potential attacks against Israel.

Earlier, Israeli army spokesperson Daniel Haggari stated that during his 30 years of service in the army, he had not witnessed such intense intelligence and military cooperation between Israel and the United States.

Haggari added, “We are at an unprecedented level of intelligence coordination.”
