FALCONPOWERS – Israeli official to The Washington Post: Israel wants to send a message to Iran in the aftermath of the unprecedented attack, but not to cause casualties.
According to the official, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has requested the Israeli military to assemble a target bank in Iran. Among the options being considered are striking a facility in Tehran or launching a cyber attack.
According to the official, “Everyone agrees that Israel must respond. The question is how and when. Our allies don’t want us to overreact, and we want to work with them, especially after the successful joint response (to the attack). We don’t need to cause human losses, but it is important to respond because it sends a message to anyone who wishes us harm.”
