Terrifying Scenes from the United States: Over 70 Storms Strike Several Regions (Watch)

FALCON POWERS – Dozens of storms struck the central United States yesterday, causing significant material damage and injuring at least three people, according to authorities.

The U.S. National Weather Service recorded over 70 tornadoes, most of them in the vicinity of Omaha, Nebraska, and near the state of Iowa.

Footage shared by storm chasers on social media showed massive black tornadoes sweeping through the sky, carrying with them soil, dust, and various debris. The tornadoes destroyed dozens of buildings, uprooted power lines, and derailed trains.

In Elkhorn, a suburb of Omaha, photos showed homes demolished or with roofs torn off, and leafless trees. To the south near the city of Lincoln, a tornado struck an industrial warehouse, leading to the evacuation of about 70 people inside the building when it collapsed. However, three of them sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The National Weather Service had issued several warnings on Friday in several states in the central United States, anticipating that this phenomenon would continue on Saturday in the vast agricultural fields of the region, extending as far as Texas.
