Lebanon and Gaza War

British Newspaper: Arab Countries Support International Peacekeeping Force in Gaza and the West Bank

Falcon powers – The British newspaper “Financial Times” revealed that Arab countries support the presence of an international or regional force in the Gaza Strip under Palestinian administration after the end of the devastating and destructive Israeli war on the territory.

The newspaper stated that several Arab countries are considering the idea of establishing a multinational “peacekeeping” force in Gaza and the West Bank after the war.

The British newspaper added that Arab countries demand that the decision to establish the “force” in Gaza and the West Bank be approved by the United Nations Security Council.

Previously, the administration of US President Joe Biden had discussed plans for managing security in Gaza after the war, including the formation of “peacekeeping forces,” coinciding with Israeli consent to return to the negotiating table in Cairo and Doha. Observers see these as preparations for the post-war scenarios in the region.
