Lebanon and Gaza War

Revealed: Israeli Plan for Governing Gaza Strip After the War

FALCON POWERS – Hebrew media outlets have revealed a plan that was recently discussed in the Israeli National Security Council and will be presented to the government amid criticism from the military towards the political leadership for not making decisions regarding the post-war situation in the Gaza Strip.

The Hebrew channel “Kan” today revealed a plan that was recently discussed in the National Security Council and will soon be presented to the Israeli Cabinet.

The plan includes Israeli civilian administration in the Gaza Strip for a period ranging from six months to a year, to be carried out by the coordinator of the Israeli government’s activities in the occupied Palestinian territories.

Services for the residents of Gaza will also be provided through private Arab companies.

According to the plan, control over the Strip will eventually be transferred to local entities that are not hostile to Israel.

Security agencies and political leadership are conducting discussions and meetings with relevant parties to formulate this plan.

Israel had previously held talks with a senior official in the Palestinian Authority and a close associate of Mahmoud Abbas, General Majid Faraj, to assist in building a mechanism for the so-called post-war phase in the Gaza Strip.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has previously stated that the only way to form an alternative government in Gaza is to completely eliminate all Hamas mechanisms in the Strip. However, Arab countries have announced that they will not cooperate with such plans without the renewal of the Palestinian Authority.
