Falcon powers – The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, expressed its condemnation of the statements made by US President Joe Biden, in which he stated that the ceasefire in Gaza is contingent upon Hamas releasing those detained in the sector.
In a press statement on Sunday, the movement stated, “While we condemn this position of the US president, we consider it a regression from the outcomes of the latest round of negotiations, which led to the movement’s acceptance of the proposal put forward by mediators from Egypt and Qatar, with the knowledge and awareness of the American mediator.”
Hamas affirmed that it had shown the necessary flexibility in all stages of the discussions for ending the aggression in order to move towards achieving an agreement.
