FALCON POWERS – The Israeli newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth” revealed on Sunday a surprise regarding the entity that sometimes stands behind incidents targeting aid trucks heading to Gaza and destroying their cargo.
In recent days, aid trucks heading to Gaza have witnessed several acts of sabotage carried out by Israeli extremists, who are demanding a halt to the provision of aid to the enclave.
Yedioth Ahronoth explained that the sabotage of these trucks “is sometimes carried out by Israeli soldiers, as they provide the extremists with information about the routes of these vehicles.” It considered the attacks “greatly damaging to Israel’s international standing, and could lead to diplomatic repercussions that could undermine the war efforts in Gaza.”
A few days ago, White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said: “It is concerning that there are people attacking and looting these convoys. We are looking at the tools we have to respond to that.” He added: “We are also raising our concerns at the highest levels of the Israeli government, and this is something we care about. This is completely unacceptable behavior.”
The Israeli newspaper revealed that the group associated with these incidents is “Tsouvot 9,” which was recently founded with the main goal of preventing aid from reaching Hamas while the Israeli hostages are still detained in the enclave.
It emphasized: “They started with small operations, but they have gradually gained momentum.” It added: “Tsouvot 9 has focused its efforts on the Gaza crossings, and achieved its goal due to the army and police’s lack of preparedness for such incidents.” It revealed that “in one case, a reserve officer guarding one of the crossings asked if anyone knew a contact at Tsouvot 9 to inform him about the incoming trucks.”
An informed security official told Yedioth Ahronoth that “this protest finds an echo among everyone, including the soldiers who provide information about the routes of the trucks.”
