FALCON POWERS – Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday that Moscow will retaliate by striking British targets if Ukraine uses British weapons to attack Russian regions.
She told reporters that British “targets inside Ukraine and outside its borders” could be subject to strikes in such a scenario. Zakharova thus repeated a warning issued by Moscow earlier this month after British Foreign Secretary David Cameron said Ukraine has the right to use the weapons provided by London to strike targets inside Russia.
This angered Russia, which said this statement was among the reasons that prompted it to conduct exercises this month simulating the launch of tactical nuclear missiles.
