Hebrew Media: New Decisions by the Israeli Army in Preparation for War with Hezbollah

Falcon powers – Hebrew media outlets revealed on Thursday that the Israeli army has decided, according to its assessment of the situation, to postpone the implementation of the decision to reduce the reserve forces in the Northern Command for several weeks.

The Maariv newspaper wondered whether the Israeli army’s decision to postpone the implementation of the decision to reduce the reserve forces in the Northern Command for several weeks is another signal towards a war in the north.

The newspaper pointed out that the Israeli army had explained a few weeks ago that “in order to maintain breathing space and the efficiency of the forces and functional continuity, it was decided to reduce the number of members in the reserve forces who are in active reserve service in some northern settlements not adjacent to the fence,” noting that “in general, there has been no change in the size of the reserve forces in the evacuated settlements near the borders in the Galilee and the Golan.”

It was pointed out that “all members of the reserve units will remain with their personal equipment, in order to enable them to activate it immediately when needed,” as “as part of the concept of regional defense, the settlements in the north remain protected by various defense systems in addition to the defense administrations and ongoing activities of the Israeli army forces in various areas.”

Meanwhile, the Israeli National Security Minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, reiterated the need for a comprehensive war against “Hezbollah,” stressing that “we must enter Lebanon and destroy Hezbollah, and we are capable of doing so.”

While the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz reported that the war government fears an all-out war with “Hezbollah,” contrary to what it described as the “nonsense of absolute victory,” in reference to the claims of some Israeli officials.
