Nikita Gusakov, the First Deputy CEO of the Russian Export Center, spoke about the importance of developing economic relations with Arab countries, noting the existence of a constructive dialogue with the UAE, Russia’s largest trade partner in the Gulf.

Gusakov, on the sidelines of his participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, indicated that Russia’s relations with the Arab world are developing significantly and at a high and fast pace, and as an example of this, the Sultanate of Oman participated in the forum this year as a guest of honor.

The Russian official pointed to the existence of constructive cooperation with the UAE, which is Russia’s largest trade partner in the Gulf, where bilateral trade between Russia and the UAE has reached $10 billion.

Gusakov also appreciated Russia’s cooperation with the rest of the Gulf countries and Western countries in North Africa, and stated that the trade balance is tilting in favor of Russia in trade with countries in North Africa.
