Falcon powers – Hebrew sources said on Friday that US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is expected to visit Israel early next week, against the backdrop of the failure to reach an agreement leading to the release of prisoners and the end of the war.
The Hebrew newspaper “Israel Today” reported that this visit will be Blinken’s eighth to Israel since the outbreak of the war, as his last visit to Tel Aviv was last March, in an attempt to prevent a large-scale operation in Rafah.
Blinken is expected to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu upon his arrival in Israel, and no other meetings have been announced so far.
The US administration is investing all its energy to reach an agreement to extinguish the war in the Gaza Strip and on the Lebanese border, at least until the US elections in November.
Blinken’s current visit will take place at a time when it is not expected for the first time that the ministers of the “state camp” will be part of the government and not participate in the war cabinet meetings.
In his previous visits, Blinken was keen to meet Gantz separately, and it is certain that the dynamics of the current visit will arouse interest, given that the administration considered him a positive element in the government.
