FALCON POWERS – Businessman Elon Musk has revealed that interaction with technology will not require smartphones in the future, but will primarily rely on Neuralink technology, through the implantation of a brain chip.
Elon Musk posted an image on his X platform showing him holding a phone, and the image depicts an AI-generated design of a neural network on Musk’s forehead, commenting: “Will you get a Neuralink interface implanted in your brain to control your new X phone just by thinking? In the future, there will be no phones, only Neuralinks.”
Successful Implantation of the First Brain Chip
Notably, Elon Musk’s company Neuralink announced the successful implantation of a brain chip in a human patient for the first time, a significant scientific achievement that opens new horizons for the treatment of neurological disabilities and the enhancement of human capabilities.
The beneficiary of this revolutionary procedure is 29-year-old Nolan Arbeau, who suffers from quadriplegia due to an accident. The implanted chip aims to help Arbeau regain motor functions by directly linking his brain to a computer.
Neuralink stated that Arbeau is recovering well after the surgery, and the chip is working effectively as expected. Arbeau has been able to use his mind to control a computer, a milestone that is considered a huge step towards improving the quality of life for people with neurological disabilities.
Neuralink’s ambitions extend beyond just treating disabilities; the company is also seeking to develop its technology to enhance human cognitive performance in general.
