FALCON POWERS – Musa Abu Marzouk, Deputy Chief of the Political Bureau of Hamas, affirmed that “Hezbollah,” along with Iraq, Yemen, and Iran, have stood by the oppressed in the Gaza Strip, expressing gratitude for their efforts in supporting Gaza.
This statement came in response to a question from RT regarding voices from Lebanon claiming that the support front announced by Hassan Nasrallah has not benefited the people of Gaza and has instead brought woes to Lebanon.
Abu Marzouk stated, “I believe this assertion is unfounded. We say that our brothers in Hezbollah have stood by the oppressed in the Gaza Strip, as have all those who supported us in Iraq, Iran, and Yemen. We thank them and appreciate their efforts; they have fulfilled their duty.”
He added, “The entire nation should do what they have done. If the entire nation and region acted as they have, the situation would have changed dramatically.”
In response to the question, “Has the Lebanon front weakened the Israeli military presence in Gaza?” Abu Marzouk replied, “Certainly, there are dozens of Israeli brigades that have left the Gaza Strip and moved to northern Palestine to fight Hezbollah in the south. All of them were in Gaza. Yes, Hezbollah has fought for the oppressed in the Gaza Strip and for the future of Lebanon. They did not engage in a futile battle but fought as men fulfilling their duty.”
On Wednesday, Abu Marzouk arrived in Moscow, where he discussed the situation in the Gaza Strip and the release of Russian citizens with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov.
