After the assessment, Britain decides to continue supplying Israel with weapons

FALCONPOWERS – British Foreign Secretary David Cameron stated on Tuesday that the UK government has concluded that it will continue supplying Israel with weapons, rejecting calls to suspend these exports in light of accusations of violations in Gaza. Cameron, during a visit to Washington, said, “Regarding Israel and international humanitarian law, and in accordance with the robust system of the United Kingdom for monitoring arms exports, a review of the latest guidance relating to the situation in Gaza and Israel’s conduct of its military campaign has been conducted.”

He added, “The recent assessment leaves our position regarding export licenses unchanged.” However, he noted in a joint press conference with his American counterpart, Antony Blinken, that “we still have major concerns regarding the access of humanitarian aid to Gaza.”

In turn, the United States, the largest supplier of weapons to Israel, rejected calls to suspend arms shipments despite growing frustration with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s leadership in the war.

Three British nationals, a Canadian-American, a Pole, an Australian, and a Palestinian were killed in an Israeli strike in Gaza after the Israeli military mistakenly targeted a convoy belonging to the humanitarian organization “World Central Kitchen.” The military had been informed of its route “by mistake” through three airstrikes.

In a recently addressed letter, more than 600 British lawyers, including former judges of the Supreme Court, said that Britain risks violating international law by exporting weapons to Israel.
