We did not know anything about Palestine, we did not know anything about this suffering. In Europe, we were taught that Israel is a thriving country with a democratic life that deserves to remain and protect the Jews from extremist Arabs, and it must be supported. Until the clock stopped and that idea collapsed in our minds on October 7th.
Why did it collapse? Because we saw the children cutting the fence and joining the fighters, and because we found them happy as they were going to be killed and knew they were going to die.
And the collapse of the old belief increased when the Israeli massacres began in Gaza, and we watched and compared the Israeli narrative with what we saw, and we were increasingly shocked by the lies and the deep lies promoted by Benjamin Netanyahu on our European screens, hiding the beheading of Gaza children, the displacement of the townspeople, and the destruction of everything in the sector.
These crimes were not mentioned on American media, but he tried to act or try to cry on the screen and failed twice in that, and was exposed on the CNN channel. Strange that the only person who believed him in the whole world was Joe Biden alone… what a folly and disrespect in our minds.
The students’ exit and the sit-in of the intellectuals in the middle of the universities was a natural reaction, because they are lying, killing, and supporting them with missiles and highly explosive bombs, and justifying that as support for the victim to defend itself, which is truly something ridiculous.
But these events revealed something else to the European politicians and world leaders, far from the West, which is the Egyptian president’s hatred of the Gaza Strip and its people.
I could not find an explanation for the behavior of the Egyptian regime towards Gaza from the very first moment until now towards the suffering of the population in Gaza. From the first minute the Israeli attack began, the Egyptian regime rushed to build very high walls on the borders of Gaza, claiming that it could not bring the injured and ambulances into its country because Israel was preventing that…
but Israel did not occupy the crossing yet and had no role in this case at least, as the Egyptian regime says that the Arab Republic of Egypt has sovereignty, power and independence, so how can it fear an enemy that has no power at the crossing yet.
What the Egyptian regime did in Gaza extinguished the hunger and deprivation and completed the picture of the Israeli killing and dismemberment of the Gaza population.
How can the poor citizen in Gaza, the displaced among the cities and tents, and the displaced in the schools, live in the midst of all this injustice that is only explained by the fact that the enemies of the Palestinian people are not only from the West and America, but we have found them to be more unjust and hateful in the offices of the Arab governments that show allegiance and obedience to the killer and ally against Gaza without any rational justification.
And the result is that you can only watch, cry and empathize.
