A woman named “Woman of the Cross,” who is actually a priest named Gerd Sandberg, set fire to a copy of the Quran once again in the Skarholmen area of Stockholm, the capital of Sweden. It is in this area where the crime took place that claimed the life of 39-year-old Swedish man Mikael Janicke, who was killed in front of his son.
Dozens of people gathered to protest against the Quran burning and chanted slogans against its organizers, as well as against racism and hatred.
The woman who burned the Quran stated, “I have witnessed the Islamization of Sweden. This is something we have been seeing for years.
You can see how Islamists are spreading on all fronts, from security guards, janitors, transportation workers, and even in the political sphere, Islamists are spreading in Sweden.”
She added, “Since I believe in Jesus Christ and take Christianity and the Bible as my guide, I believe that this should be applicable in Sweden, the Nordic countries, and Europe. Islam, its mosques, and anyone associated with it have no place here in Sweden.”
Prior to the Quran burning on Friday, the principal of a school in Skarholmen sent a message to the parents urging them to keep their children away from the demonstration. Students were also prohibited from being outdoors, and activities were canceled to avoid having children and staff members near the demonstration.
