FALCON POWERS – The EU’s foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, said on Monday that the Middle East is on the brink of the conflict expanding to Lebanon.
Borrell told reporters before a meeting of the bloc’s foreign ministers in Luxembourg: “The risk of this war affecting southern Lebanon is increasing day by day. We are on the brink of a war that is expanding in scope.”
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock confirmed that she will travel to Lebanon, stating “the situation on the border with Israel is more than worrying.”
