Chinese President Sets “3 Nos” in Face of Israel’s War on Gaza, Calls for More Balanced Peace Conference

Falcon powers – On Thursday, Chinese President Xi Jinping said at the China-Arab Forum that the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip cannot go on indefinitely, justice cannot remain absent forever, and the two-state solution cannot be arbitrarily overthrown.

Jinping called for convening a “widespread” peace conference to resolve the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, warning that justice in the Middle East cannot “be absent forever”. This was during the opening of the China-Arab Cooperation Forum in Beijing, aimed at deepening relations with the region.

According to the Foreign Ministry statement, Xi told the leaders of 4 Arab countries in Beijing that “the Middle East is a land with broad prospects for development (…) justice should not be absent forever”, calling for an “international peace conference that is more wide-ranging, more credible and more effective”.

Xi announced that “China and the Arab countries will build a more balanced framework for economic and trade relations that benefit both sides”.

The Chinese President added: “Beijing will continue to enhance strategic cooperation with the Arab side in the fields of oil and gas, integrating supply security with market security.”

He continued: “China is ready to work with the Arab side in the field of research and development of modern energy technologies and equipment manufacturing.”

The Chinese President “expressed a deep sense of affinity” with the Arab countries, saying “every time I meet our Arab friends, I feel a deep sense of affinity.” He added that “the friendship between China and the Chinese people and the Arab countries and peoples stems from the friendly exchanges along the ancient Silk Road.”

Xi Jinping said China is ready to build China-Arab relations as a model for maintaining peace and stability in the world. He added: “In the turbulent world we live in, mutual respect is the way to achieve harmonious coexistence, and equity and justice are the foundations for lasting security.”
