Falcon powers – The progressive American Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (Democrat from New York) described the bloody Israeli airstrikes on Rafah, which resulted in the martyrdom of at least 50 people in a camp for the displaced, as “atrocities that cannot be defended.”
Ocasio-Cortez wrote on the social media platform X on Monday: “The Israeli army’s attack on a camp for innocents in Rafah is a heinous act that cannot be justified.”
“This was done in blatant defiance of the red line set by President Biden and the call of the International Court of Justice for a ceasefire.”
She added that “it has been too long since Biden kept his word” and stopped military aid shipments to Israel, following the threat he made earlier this month in an attempt to prevent Israeli attacks on Rafah.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that the Israeli air raid on the Tel Al-Sultan neighborhood in Rafah targeted a humanitarian area full of tents.
