FALCON POWERS – In a joint statement on Sunday (August 18, 2024), Alain Delon’s three children – setting aside their differences after months of legal dispute over their ailing father – announced that “Alain Fabien, Anouchka and Anthony, as well as Loulou (Delon’s dog), announce with deep sadness the passing of their father. He died peacefully at his home in Douchy, surrounded by his three children and family (…) who ask you to respect his privacy during this painful time of mourning.” according to a post on the social media platform X, quoting his three children.
His son Anthony told AFP that the star of “Purple Noon”, “Le Samourai” and “The Swimming Pool” passed away around 3 a.m. Delon was beloved by millions of cinema fans, despite the variety of his roles, ranging from murderer to criminal to hired assassin, during the peak of his output in the post-war era.
Alain Delon’s health had deteriorated since he suffered a stroke in 2019, and he rarely left his home in the Val de Loire region.
