Death of the Iranian President and His Accompanying Delegation in a Helicopter Crash Incident


Falcon powers – Iranian media outlets have announced the death of the Iranian President and the rest of the helicopter passengers in an aviation incident while performing official duties in East Azerbaijan Province in the northwest of the country.

The official Iranian state television confirmed the death of President Ibrahim Raisi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the accompanying delegation in the crash of the presidential helicopter.

The Iranian Mehr news agency said: “According to the available information, the President of our country and his accompanying delegation have attained the high status of martyrdom.”

According to the agency, the helicopter was carrying the President of the Republic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the representative of the Supreme Leader in East Azerbaijan Province, the Governor of the province, as well as escorts and the pilot.

The Executive Assistant to the Iranian Presidency mourned President Ibrahim Raisi and described him as the “Master of the Martyrs.”

The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society said that the rescue teams arrived at the wreckage of President Ibrahim Raisi’s helicopter and, after examining it, they did not find any signs of the passengers’ survival.

The Iranian IRNA news agency also mentioned: “Efforts are ongoing to detect the vital signs of the passengers of the Iranian President’s helicopter, but the hopes of the helicopter’s crew’s survival have almost vanished.
