Elon Musk Arrives in Bali, Indonesia to Launch Starlink Internet Service

FALCON POWERS – Billionaire Elon Musk arrived on Sunday to the Indonesian island of Bali in preparation for the planned launch of the Starlink internet service, a subsidiary of SpaceX. The Indonesian government hopes that this service will expand internet access and healthcare services to remote areas of the country.

Minister of Investment Luhut Pandjaitan welcomed Musk upon his arrival at Bali’s airport on Sunday morning, stating that they would discuss various important areas of cooperation, including the launch of Starlink, according to a post on his Instagram page.

He added that equal access to internet services across Indonesia, the largest economy in Southeast Asia with over 270 million people residing in three time zones, would allow people in remote areas to enjoy the same internet speed as those living in urban areas.

Musk, the CEO of SpaceX and Tesla, stated that he would launch the Starlink service with Indonesian President Joko Widodo at a community health center in Denpasar, the capital of Bali, on Sunday afternoon.

Indonesia will become the third country in Southeast Asia to enjoy Starlink services.
