Gaza Needs at Least 14 Years to Remove Its Rubble!!

Falcon powers – Israel has been accused of committing “house killing” crimes due to the intensity of its bombing campaign in Gaza, which has turned large areas of the territory into rubble.

According to Pierre Luhamaa, a former head of the United Nations Mine Action Service in Iraq, 65% of the destroyed buildings in Gaza were residential.

A United Nations official in charge of mine clearance confirmed that the Israeli war on Gaza left behind 37 million tons of debris, most of which is filled with unexploded bombs, and the removal process could take more than a decade.

During a press conference, Pierre Luhamaa stated that after nearly seven months since the war, there is an average of 300 kilograms of debris per square meter of land in Gaza.

Based on the current amount of debris and with the presence of 100 trucks, the work would require 14 years to remove.

With the continuation of the war, it is difficult to estimate the duration of the debris clearance process.

The process of clearing and rebuilding Gaza will be slow and dangerous due to the threat posed by unexploded shells, rockets, or other weapons buried in collapsed or damaged buildings.

Luhamaa mentioned that approximately 10% of the weapons did not explode upon launch and had to be cleared by mine clearance teams.
