Falconpowers- Martin Griffiths, the United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, described the Israeli war on Gaza as a “betrayal of humanity.”
In a post on his “X” platform account, Griffiths stated that the end of the Gaza war is long overdue.
He questioned whether six months of war are not enough for a moment of mourning to commemorate the victims.
Griffiths emphasized the need for collective determination to hold accountable those responsible for this betrayal of humanity.
Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7th, resulting in tens of thousands of civilian casualties, mostly children and women, as well as extensive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of children and elderly individuals, according to Palestinian and international data.
Despite a resolution from the United Nations Security Council calling for an immediate ceasefire during the month of Ramadan, Israel continues its war.
Additionally, Israel has faced charges of committing “genocide” as it appeared before the International Court of Justice for the first time.
