Falcon powers – In the wake of the Lebanese Hezbollah’s successes in downing advanced Israeli drones used for reconnaissance and intelligence-gathering missions over Lebanese airspace, and Israel’s admission of its weakness in intercepting the group’s reconnaissance, intelligence, offensive and suicide drones launched daily, the dilemma in the occupation entity is increasing. In addition to the war of attrition waged by the Islamic Resistance against the entity since last October, it is confirmed day after day that Hezbollah has proven to everyone with eyes that the Israeli deterrence not only eroded, but ended.
In this context, and according to an official Israeli military source, the Hebrew newspaper Haaretz revealed that since last October, the Lebanese Hezbollah has been launching drones from the Land of the Cedars to the north of the occupation state, including reconnaissance and intelligence drones, suicide drones, and offensive drones. In addition, the source explained that Hezbollah is using precise missiles against tanks and other projectiles, all of which succeed in penetrating the Israeli defense systems and accurately hitting targets, according to the source’s statements.
The Hebrew newspaper stressed that two weeks ago, a drone managed to strike the “Tal Shemesh” balloon, which is considered an Israeli strategic facility, located 30 km from the Lebanese border. In the same week, the newspaper continued, Hezbollah released a video showing an offensive drone striking a military base in the settlement of “Al-Matallah” on the northern border with two missiles.
In addition, the Hebrew newspaper report stated that a suicide mission launched by the party had hit a gathering of occupation soldiers who were hiding somewhere in the village of Arab al-Aramsheh, on the border with Lebanon. And three months earlier, Hezbollah had managed to hit and destroy the “Iron Dome” system using two suicide drones.
It explained that what was mentioned in the report represents some of the few examples of what happens daily on the Lebanese-Israeli border, which confirms that the occupation army’s defense systems currently have no ground and air defenses to repel Hezbollah’s drones. This is something that many occupation generals had previously warned would happen, according to the report.
According to the Hebrew newspaper report, intercepting the Lebanese drones has become impossible, as they fly at very low altitudes and are able to bypass the radar system.
When the radars do detect them, the drones have already struck their pre-determined target and destroyed it.
