FALCON POWERS – Osama Hamdan, a leader in Hamas, stated that Mohammed Deif, the commander of the movement’s military wing, “is fine and remains in his position.”
Hamdan confirmed in a statement on Sunday that “Abu Khalid (Mohammed Deif) is well and continues to perform his role as a leader of the resistance.”
He added that “all the rumors published have not deterred him, and he remains in his position fulfilling his duties. Despite more than 330 days of war, neither he nor his soldiers nor his commanders have lost their determination or will.”
In contrast to the statements from the Hamas leader, the Israeli army had “confirmed the assassination of Mohammed Deif on August 1 in the Gaza Strip, based on intelligence gathered by the army and Israeli security services.”
The Israeli army stated at the time that “the occupation army and the internal security service eliminated Mohammed Deif.”
Simultaneously, Hamas denied the “claims and lies of the Israeli army regarding the assassination of Deif,” asserting that he “is listening to the Israeli prime minister and mocking his false statements.”
