Hamas Reveals 4 Demands to Approve Prisoner Exchange Deal

FALCON POWERS – The media advisor to the head of the Hamas political bureau, Taher Al-Nounou, stated that there is a determination from Netanyahu and his extremist government to continue the war and the killing of the Palestinian people.

Taher Al-Nounou, during a phone interview on Sunday with the “Presence of the Citizen” program on the “Al-Hadath Al-Youm” channel, said that “Netanyahu and his extremist government want a prisoner exchange deal in which a number of prisoners are released, and then Netanyahu returns to fighting.”

He continued, “Netanyahu wants a fragmented ceasefire within the framework of this war in order to deceive the world that there is a ceasefire in Gaza and a calm on the other fronts, and to absorb international public opinion, and then he will return to completing his crimes.”

The media advisor stated that for approving the prisoner exchange deal, there must be a permanent ceasefire in Gaza, a complete withdrawal from the Strip including the Rafah crossing and the Philadelphia corridor, an end to the siege, and an immediate start of reconstruction, in addition to an exchange deal for prisoners according to what was agreed upon.

He stressed that these four points can form the backbone of any agreement.

In this context, he referred to the continuous and ongoing efforts of Egypt and Qatar, saying, “We cannot say that we have reached an agreement and that the Israeli occupation has changed its position.”

Taher Al-Nounou affirmed that Netanyahu is still determined not to end the war, as that would mean the end of his political future.
