FALCON POWERS – The military wing of Hamas, Al-Qassam Brigades, announced on Thursday the fate of the commander of the Southern Brigade in the Gaza Division of the Israeli army, who was believed to have been killed in the October 7th attack.
The Al-Qassam Brigades said they are holding the Israeli officer Assaf Haimami captive since the October 7th attack on southern Israel, indicating that he was injured during his detention.
The Al-Qassam Brigades did not provide any evidence to support their claim.
Months ago, the Israeli army had announced that Haimami (41 years old) was killed in the October 7th attacks, and that his body was being held in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas has announced more than once that some of the hostages they are holding were killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, which have continued for more than 7 months.
