Hamas’s First Response to Closure of Its Office in Qatar and Departure from Doha

FALCON POWERS – A Hamas leader responded to circulating news about Qatar’s request to close the movement’s office in Doha, following the Gulf state’s withdrawal from mediation efforts to halt the fighting in Gaza.

The Hamas official told AFP on Saturday that the movement has not received any request from Qatar to close its office in Doha.

The official, who requested anonymity, stated: “We have nothing to confirm or deny regarding what was published from an unspecified diplomatic source, and we have not received any request to leave Qatar.”
