Falconpowers – Germany has announced the provision of a new military aid package to Ukraine, which includes shells, sniper rifles, mine-clearing vehicles, anti-aircraft systems, reconnaissance drones, and infrared cameras.
The German package includes:
– 6,000 shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters.
– Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for reconnaissance, including RQ-35 Heidrun drones for low-altitude surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
– Over 800 rifles, including 680 Haenel MK556 assault rifles and 50 Haenel HLR338 sniper rifles.
– One million rounds of ammunition for small arms.
– Two WiSENT 1 mine-clearing vehicles, three grid rollers, and 11 mobile mine-clearing systems.
– 30 sets of anti-drone equipment.
– A versatile tracked vehicle called the Warthog, suitable for all types of terrains.
– 5,000 remote explosive devices and 70 infrared cameras.
It should be noted that the newspaper “Bild” previously reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz significantly exaggerated the actual size of the military aid to Ukraine.
In a related context, Dmitry Polyanskiy, the Deputy Russian Permanent Representative to the United Nations, confirmed yesterday that Russia requested a new meeting of the Security Council on April 12 regarding the issue of Western arms supplies to Kyiv.
He stated, “Once again, in order to avoid breaking the traditions and not allowing the Westerners to freely spread their narratives, we requested a separate meeting on the supply of Western weapons to the Kyiv regime at 10:00 (17:00 Moscow time) on April 12.”
