Injuries in a shooting incident during Eid al-Fitr celebrations in the city of Philadelphia, USA

Falconpowers – Philadelphia police in the state of Pennsylvania, USA, announced that at least three people were injured in a shooting incident during the Eid al-Fitr celebrations in the city.

The police confirmed that the injured were taken to the hospital, including a 15-year-old teenager. Media reports indicate that the teenager was shot by the police who arrived at the scene upon hearing gunshots in the area. The police also stated that they have arrested five individuals in connection with the incident, including a minor. Additionally, five firearms were seized at the scene. Local authorities have indicated that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) will assist the local police in investigating the incident.

Senator Bob Casey, who represents the state of Pennsylvania in the Senate, confirmed that his office is in contact with local officials regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, Governor Josh Shapiro expressed his regret for the incident occurring during the holiday, affirming his solidarity with the Muslim community in Philadelphia.
