FALCON POWERS – The Israeli prosecution has revealed an espionage network operating on behalf of Iran.
The Israeli Attorney General alleged that the spy network consists of seven Israelis, described as “new immigrants from Azerbaijan,” who were recruited by Iran. They reportedly filmed Israeli military bases that were targeted for potential Iranian missile strikes and gathered information on various military installations, including air force bases in Nevatim and Ramat David, the Kariya camp in Tel Aviv, Iron Dome battery sites, and more. They also obtained maps of strategic locations from operators, including the “Golani” base, in exchange for hundreds of thousands of dollars, which were partly transacted using cryptocurrency.
The suspects are: Aziz Nisanov, Alexander Sidikov, Yigal Nisan, Vyacheslav Gushin, and Yevgeny Yuva, along with minors whose names cannot be disclosed, all of whom came from Azerbaijan. Over the course of two years, they conducted 600 missions for the Iranians.
The Attorney General’s office is expected to present an indictment against them to the Central Court in Haifa on Friday for a series of serious security offenses.
