Lebanon and Gaza War

Israel Declares the Killing of Two Hostages in Gaza

FALCON POWERS – The Israeli army announced on Monday the killing of two hostages being held in the Gaza Strip.

The army said in a statement that it had informed the families of the two hostages of their deaths, based on intelligence information.

The statement mentioned that the two killed hostages were Alex Danziger and Gefen Bokhshtab, noting that their bodies are in Hamas’ possession.

The decision to determine their deaths was made based on intelligence information, and it was approved by an expert committee from the Ministry of Health, in participation with the Ministry of Religious Affairs and the Israeli police. The army said it “is investigating the circumstances of their killing in Hamas’ captivity by all relevant authorities.”

The statement added: “The Israeli army is using a wide range of methods to collect information about kidnapping operations and hostages in the Gaza Strip.”

It is believed that there are about 100 remaining Israeli hostages in the Gaza Strip, both alive and dead, according to Israeli estimates.

Negotiations aimed at reaching a deal to stop the Gaza war and release the Israeli hostages in exchange for Palestinian prisoners have failed to achieve any tangible results on the ground, while the war continues for the tenth month.
