FALCON POWERS – The Israeli Channel 13 reported, citing officials on Sunday evening, that Tel Aviv has no connection to the incident that the Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi’s helicopter was subjected to.
The Hebrew channel reported, quoting the officials: “As for Israel, the message it sends to the countries of the world is that Tel Aviv has nothing to do with the incident.”
What happened?
On Sunday evening, Iranian television announced that a helicopter carrying Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and his accompanying delegation was subjected to a “hard landing” incident in East Azerbaijan province.
The Iranian President was on his way back from the inauguration ceremony of a joint border dam with Azerbaijan, where he met with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev on Sunday morning.
Iranian government spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi said there was “no new news” about President Ibrahim Raisi’s helicopter.
Who was on board the helicopter?
Iranian media reported that the helicopter that was subjected to the incident was carrying President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, East Azerbaijan Governor Maliki Rahmati, Tabriz Friday Prayer Leader Ayatollah Al-Hashimi, and some other officials.
They indicated that the Iranian President’s helicopter was forced to land due to inclement weather, noting that “the bad weather conditions are hindering the arrival of rescue teams to Raisi’s helicopter”.
