FALCON POWERS – In the early hours of Tuesday, the Israeli army launched a ground military operation in Lebanon, following days of deadly airstrikes that resulted in the death of Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah and many of his aides, as well as approximately a thousand others across various regions of the country.
An Israeli military spokesperson stated that the army has commenced a focused ground military operation in southern Lebanon. The Israeli army announced in a statement, “We have begun a ground operation in southern Lebanon in accordance with a decision from the political leadership.”
They added that the ground operation began hours earlier under the direction of political leadership and includes several villages near the border. The army clarified that their actions are in accordance with a systematic plan overseen by the General Staff and the Northern Command.
