Falcon powers – The Israeli army radio revealed today, Thursday, that the Israeli security apparatus noticed an unusual deployment of the Egyptian army on the borders of the Gaza Strip.
Doron Kadosh, a correspondent for the Israeli army radio, said, “The reason behind this Egyptian military deployment on the Gaza border is the fear of a collective breach of the border by displaced individuals from Gaza, who may also include armed militants if they attack the city of Rafah in Israel.”
In the same context, Israeli radio station JDN revealed that the Egyptian army is operating in areas where it has not been active in recent years, specifically in areas that used to witness the presence of Egyptian civilian police forces in the border area.
The Egyptian army has deployed a wide range of armored vehicles, armored personnel carriers, and tanks.
Military officials claim that the Israeli army is also preparing for a worst-case scenario, known as the “burning wheels” scenario, similar to the 2012 attack when militants from Rafah breached the border into Sinai, stole an Egyptian military vehicle, and infiltrated into Israel.
