Israeli Soldier Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Southern Gaza Strip

FALCON POWERS – The Israeli occupation army announced on Monday the death of one of its soldiers and the serious injury of another in clashes in the southern Gaza Strip.

The occupation army said in a statement: “Sergeant Uri Hed (21 years old) from the 931st Paratrooper Brigade Battalion was killed in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.”

It added, “In the same incident, a soldier from the Nahal Brigade was seriously injured.”

With the death of this soldier, the number of soldiers killed since the outbreak of the war on October 7 last year has risen to 671, including 317 in ground battles since the 27th of that month.

Meanwhile, 3,977 soldiers were injured, including 2,018 in ground battles, according to the data of the Israeli occupation army, which faces local accusations of concealing a larger toll of its killed and wounded.

Despite the passage of about 9 months since the start of its war on Gaza, with absolute American support, the occupation forces are unable to achieve any of their declared objectives, particularly the release of Israeli prisoners from the Strip and the elimination of Hamas’s capabilities.

At a daily pace, Hamas announces the killing and wounding of Israeli soldiers and the destruction of military vehicles in various parts of Gaza, and occasionally launches rockets at the occupied Palestinian territories, and broadcasts video clips documenting some of its operations.

The Israeli aggression on Gaza resulted in about 125,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, mostly children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that claimed the lives of dozens of children.

For the 18th year, the occupation forces are besieging the Gaza Strip, and their war has forced about 2 million of its 2.3 million Palestinian residents to be displaced in disastrous conditions, with severe shortages of food, water and medicine.
