FALCON POWERS – The leader of the Israeli opposition, Yair Lapid, has stated that the Likud party has become beholden to extremist settlers.
Earlier this week, Lapid strongly criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, calling him a liar and saying that the countdown to the government’s downfall has begun.
In an interview with the Maariv newspaper, conducted by journalist Yehuda Sharoni, Lapid said that Netanyahu “promises, but lies as a way of life.” He added, “When he leaves, not even a fountain will be named after him, let alone a street or cultural hall. He will be remembered only on October 7th, which is the greatest failure since the War of Liberation – no one wants to work with him, but he doesn’t care.”
