Lieberman Launches Fierce Attack on Egypt

FALCON POWERS – Member of the Knesset and former Israeli Defense Minister, Avigdor Lieberman, launched a sharp attack on Egypt, alleging that it had violated agreements with Israel. Lieberman claimed that Egypt allowed a large number of Hamas militants, including those involved in the events of October 7th, to exit the Rafah crossing for medical treatment in Sinai.

Lieberman continued his criticism of Egypt on his official page on X website (formerly Twitter), claiming that Egypt allowed the transfer of cigarette containers to the Gaza Strip.

He further alleged that Egypt permitted armed militants in Gaza to pass through the Rafah crossing for treatment in Sinai.

Lieberman wrote, “Yesterday, perhaps on the occasion of Easter, Egypt transported full containers of cigarettes through the Rafah crossing to the Gaza Strip. And if that wasn’t enough, Egypt allowed a large number of elite Hamas militants, including those who participated in October 7th, to leave through the Rafah crossing with their companions for medical treatment, in complete contradiction to all agreements with Israel.”

Lieberman also accused the Israeli political leadership of disregarding Egypt’s actions, saying, “I hope that a senior Israeli official will be found who has the courage to clearly and unambiguously explain to Egypt that their double game is unacceptable.”

He concluded by saying, “It is time to tighten control at the Rafah crossing and along the Philadelphi Corridor, and even to this day, through the tunnels beneath the corridor, Hamas continues its smuggling activities.”
