“Maariv”: Maximum alert in Israel in anticipation of a wide Iranian response

FALCON POWERS – The newspaper “Maariv” reported today, Saturday, that “Israel is in a state of maximum alert in anticipation of a wide Iranian response, amid estimates of targeting power and communication lines.”

The newspaper confirmed “providing large hospitals with fuel and power generators and evacuating car garages to be used as fortified hospitals,” noting “supplying Israeli hospitals with satellite phones in preparation to deal with communication interruptions.”

It is noteworthy that the region is facing the risk of an expanding cycle of conflict between Israel and Iran and its allies, after the assassination of Haniyeh in Tehran on Wednesday, and the assassination of Shaker in an Israeli strike on the southern suburb of Beirut on Tuesday.

While all mediation attempts have so far failed to stop the firing in the Gaza Strip, where the conflict has been raging for about 10 months between Israel and Hamas, the war has raised tensions across the Middle East between Israel on one hand, and Iran and its allies in Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and Syria, especially Hezbollah, on the other hand.
