According to tech reports, the Edge browser now offers a new feature that allows users to directly translate text and videos across various online platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Coursera, CNBC, and Bloomberg. This feature currently supports translation between Spanish and English, with plans to expand to other languages like French, German, Chinese, and Japanese. The Edge browser also gives users the option to choose between audio or written translation of the content they’re viewing or listening to. These new additions demonstrate Microsoft’s commitment to developing AI technologies to enhance the capabilities of the Edge browser and improve the user experience.
The reports also mention that Microsoft provides several enterprise-specific versions of Edge, which ensure robust protection for computer data and internet usage data. Previous reports had revealed that Microsoft is currently testing some new features in the Edge Canary version 124, which focus on enhancing the user experience and providing users with more control during browsing. Among the other features being tested is a new capability that allows users to set a maximum limit on the amount of random access memory (RAM) that the Edge browser can use.
